Send Your Cat To A Spa

Whether you are packing up your luggage for a trip, or simply taking your briefcase off to work, your cat will enjoy the comforts of a cat spa. The pet boarding business is booming, and facilities are vying with each other to provide the most fun and security for your cat, and they go way beyond a litter box, Scratching posts, and a few cat toys. The purpose of a cat spa is to provide a place for cats to play and hang out while their owners are at work or out of town. The goal is to pamper the cats as much as possible and allow them to socialize with other cats if they are so inclined.

Before you pack up your cat’s luggage and head off to the spa, here are some typical requirements of many cat spas:

Age: Kittens must be at least 16 weeks of age (4months) and must have all sets of vaccinations, including FVRCP and Rabies
Rabies: Yearly or every 3 years
FVRCP: (Feline Distemper) Once per year
Vaccinations: administered a MINIMUM of 3 days prior to check in.
Entrance Examination: If fleas and or ticks are identified your pet will receive an automatic flea/tick bath and or dip at your expense, and any medical or other problems will be addressed at this time with you..

Just what does a cat spa have to offer? Here’s a list of services offered by many spas:

Scratching posts and cat toys
TV Viewing 24 hours
Aquarium Viewing
Fresh food & Water daily
Luxurious Fleece
Sterilization of kennel daily
Changing of litter box twice per day
Exercise time in cat room once per day
Cuddling with our staff
Low lighting
Web Cameras for our human friends to peek in

If your cat is staying overnight, even though spas are well equipped with cat bed and toys, pack a few things in your cat’s luggage just to help him feel secure. Take a favored toy (he can keep it in his private den), a cat bedbecause it smells like home, and his own food because it’s best not to change diets suddenly. You want him to have fun, and at the same time feel secure
